It began when a friend, Susan asked if I wanted to join her for a Memorial Weekend trip (2013) to Lake Chelan, WA to hike and hangout with a large group of people who rented a house on the lake.   In true fashion of being up for any new adventure, I agreed.  Ironically the same person who made it possible for Marcos and I to meet also played a key part in his proposal surprise. 

   Typical Pacific Northwest weather, unlike the East Coast, brings summer temps another month later. So while a short and cold dip into the lake did happen, thank God there was a hot tub to warm up. I figured anyone who could withstanding the 10+ hours in the hot tub along with me had great potential.  The weekend was full of hiking, new friends, a dance party by the fire pit, and first of many fun outings exploring the woods of the Pacific Northwest.

   From this trip, our shared love of the outdoors, new adventures and travel, baseball, a common love of family, both by blood and choice, our relationship grew into a series of adventures together with many more to come.
