Passport Information: Guests must travel with a U.S. Passport Booklet for any international travel by air, sea, or land. Contact your local post office or the National Passport Center at 1-877-487-2778 (24 hours a day) to schedule an appointment at a passport acceptance facility. Passports are currently being processed in approximately 4-6 weeks from the time of application.  Allow extra time for the delivery of your passport.

Airport: Cancun Airport International (airport code CUN)

Money Exchange: You will not have the need to use Mexican pesos too often.  Even excursions outside of the all-inclusive resort can be purchased with US dollars.  The only reason we ever exchanged US dollars for pesos is when we take the bus that runs through the hotel zone street to the downtown area.  There are some small local food and gift shop places that may only accept pesos, but those are few and far between.  Check with your credit card company before leaving, some cards charge a transaction fee when you charge in a foreign country.
