On the morning of the proposal, we attended the closing of our new home. After we finished signing tons of paperwork, we went to the house to look around and get acquainted with our new home. We stayed there all day talking and laying on the floor until it was time to pick up Alex from daycare. The time had come to pick up Alex. So we were making sure we had everything before we left and D asked if I was ready to go...Back story... I knew he was going to propose because we went to purchase the ring 2 weeks prior to this. I just didn't know when but was thinking he would do it during this time...so now back to the story, so I said, "yeah, if you aren't going to propose to me". He started laughing and said "what are you talking about". We started walking towards the door and he says, "well, since we are here..." I turned around and started smiling. I was holding a folder in my hand so I said "wait a minute, let me put this down". He got down on one knee and proposed. I could tell he was nervous because he was sweating. I sat on his knee while he proposed and said, "Yes, I will" with a little tear in my eye. I was nervous too because although I had been anticipating this moment, it was still a surprise to me and an "oh shoot, this is real" moment.
